Recovery From Loss on the Blog of Robin Chodak

Welcome to my Blog and My Journey of Recovery

Welcome to my website. Did you find me because you want to begin recovery?

We are all on a journey in some form or fashion of recovery. Who has not experienced some type of tragedy in their lives? If you have not yet, “thank God,” but it is inevitable that you will. Some are more difficult than others. Some of us want to recover and some stay stuck in grief, anger or denial.

We must all make choices!

After the tragic suicide of my husband in 2005 I knew I had to make choices.  I could either move on in my life or live it filled with grief and unhappiness.  I chose the former. And that is why I am here.  I hope you will find something inspirational on this site or use it as a way to express your thoughts.

I am a woman on a journey of recovery. It has been a long voyage, but I was able to create a new identity and find happiness again after much hard work.Robin Chodak TangoI hope that you can, too.

One of the many paths to my recovery was finding the Tango. The dance breathed life back into me and I found Tango to be a new passion.  I married Dr. Gerald Chodak on 11-11-11 and we both have a commitment and love for the Argentine Tango.

Also, another path has been writing:

In 2011 I published an article for AFSP (The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and LOSS (Loving Outreach of Suicide Survivors).  See Personal Survivor Story by Robin Meyer

In 2014 I was published in Tom Sweetman’s book, “From Grief to Greatness.”

2015 I won a memoir contest and published in Matilda Butler’s book, “Tales of our Lives:Fork in the Road.”

2018 I published, “Be Gentle with Me, I’m Grieving” available on Amazon

2019 I published, Moving to Excellence, A Pathway to Transformation after Grief  on Amazon

I created online courses on UDEMY:

How to change your Brain and create an excellent life on Udemy

Be Gentle with Me I’m Grieving on UDEMY

Thank you for stopping by my site

Love and Light,
